EXAM COORDINATOR (Mary Ester, Florida office)

Job Function:       To assist the Training Director with all duties as related to Early Education and Care’s Training Project.

Specific Job Duties: 

  1. Provide technical assistance and information regarding training issues to early care educators.
  2. Assist with training certification process.
  3. Type correspondence and other materials as needed for the training department.
  4. Respond to customer’s questions and needs as necessary.
  5. Assist in maintaining all training areas in a clean and organized manner.
  6. Maintain documentation as required by contract and all other contracts placed under the supervision of the training department.
  7. Assist Training Coordinator with scheduling and arrangements for training courses, workshops, etc.
  8. Coordinate the delivery of the Child Care Competency Exams to the exam site proctors.
  9. Assist Training Director with proctoring exams in order to stay in compliance with contractual requirements for offering exams within a two week time frame for child care providers to have more options.
  10. Provide assistance for individuals applying for National Child Development Associate credential.
  11. Actively participate in the planning of agency fund-raising events, such as Kidfest, Annual Banquet and other activities sponsored by EEC.
  12. Responsible for gathering resources that will support contractual match requirements for EEC grants.
  13. Abide by the policies and procedures set forth by EEC’s Board of Directors.

Education & Experience:     

Bachelor’s degree in education, child development or related field.

Education requirement may be substituted for Associates degree or comparable credit hours plus five (5) years experience in a directly related field.

Minimum of one (1) year office/clerical work.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:     

Ability to plan, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  Ability to type, file and maintain an organized work area. Basic computer literacy.

Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Travel to fulfill the needs of the agency is required.

The noise level is usually moderate but can become high.

Salary:                                 

The position is a part time, year round, hourly position. Pay scale: $18.64 – $20.59 an hour depending on education credential and experience.
