This diverse position brings value to Early Education and Care, Inc. through the acquisition of in-kind services, goods and volunteers. This position works to develop relationships with donors and volunteers in the community, bring in goods or professional services to satisfy federal donation requirements, and enter all donor information into the internal database system. An AA/AS degree is preferred with proven successful work experience (at least 3 years) in community relations.
- Develop relationships with donors and volunteers in the community.
- Bring in goods or professional services to satisfy federal donation requirements.
- Organize, plan, execute, and solicit donations.
- Receive donations from around the county.
- Maintain donations in a controlled environment.
- Maintain database on all community organizations, civic organizations, and potential businesses.
- Prepare mailings and make telephone calls to donors to procure donations.
- Enter all donor information into the internal database system.
- Send thank you letters to all donors.
- Address program in-kind needs while meeting the federal donation requirements.
- Work with program staff to fulfill nonfederal share requirements.
- Develop a formal volunteer system to coordinate volunteer activities through the Mental Health/Parent Involvement Coordinator.
- Office/Administration (i.e. maintaining all files).
- Coordinate center annual drives and events to promote Head Start and the services provided.
- Assist with special programs and events.
- Statistics: accurately record, analyze, report, and communicate them to the agency within a timely manner.
- Actively participate in the planning of agency events, such as Kidfest and other activities sponsored by EEC.
- Abide by the policies as set forth by the EEC’s Board of Directors.
Experience:
AA/AS Degree preferred with proven successful work experience (at least 3 years) in community relations.
