Description:
Early Education and Care, Inc., a non-profit agency, is seeking a Information Support Specialist responsible for entering data for the Head Start and Early Head Start Program into the Child  Plus Data Entry Program.  Ensure accurate, complete, efficient input and maintenance of Child Plus software system.

Specific Job Duties

  1. Manage Child Plus software database. Troubleshoot all software problems.
  2. Monitor and maintain Child Plus data entry via reports to ensure accuracy of database input.
  3. Enter children’s applications for Head Start and Early Head Start Program.
  4. Create/Run reports from Child Plus for Head Start and Early Head Start Coordinators as requested.
  5. Help in recruitment and selection of children for programs as in mail-outs, letters, flyers, etc.
  6. Train employees to input data into Child Plus Program as well as retrieve/utilize Child Plus report information. Inform and train staff on changes/upgrades when applicable.
  7. Ensure all information required for the Program Information Report (PIR) is maintained in a manner that will allow compilation of data by the end of the program year.
  8. Perform regular Child Plus backups.
  9. Request child/family/staff information as needed from appropriate coordinators for entry into the Child Plus system to ensure quality maintenance.
  10. Actively participate in the planning of agency events, such as Kidfest, and other activities sponsored by EEC.
  11. Responsible for gathering resources that will support contractual match requirements for EEC’s funding sources.
  12. Abide by the policies and procedures as set forth by the EEC Board of Directors.

Experience:
Applicant must be a self starter and possess solid basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.) as well as organizational skills.

High school diploma and two years data entry/administrative assistant experience is required.

Must pass background and drug screenings.
