Applicant must be flexible, a self starter, possess the ability to plan and/or carry out daily lesson plans. Must also be able to work with children with special needs and families of diverse backgrounds. Provide a wide variety of experiences for each child including those in math, science, social studies, creative music, language and vocabulary development, pre-reading, cognitive skills and physical education. Attend parent conferences and encourage parent involvement.
Must complete 40 hour DCF mandated training courses and successfully pass the competency examinations within 90 days of employment.
Must also possess a minimum of one year successful classroom experience.
Applicant must pass criminal background and urinalysis drug screenings.
A pre-employment physical is required along with a tb tine screening.
